The group ENHYPEN achieved a career high just one day after the release of their new album.
According to the album sales tracking site Hanteo Chart on the 6th, ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunwoo, Niki) sold a total of 1,890,677 copies of their mini album 'DESIRE: UNLEASH' on its first day (5th), landing directly at number one on the daily album chart.
This figure surpasses the previous first-day sales record set by their second full album 'ROMANCE: UNTOLD' released last year (1,883,143 copies). With pre-orders for 'DESIRE: UNLEASH' exceeding 2.18 million copies, ENHYPEN is expected to achieve their second 'double million seller' in first-week sales.
ENHYPEN also made a mark in the digital music sector. The title track 'Bad Desire (With or Without You)' topped the Bugs real-time chart, followed by 'Flashover', 'Too Close', 'Helium', and 'Outside' taking the 1st to 5th spots. Additionally, all tracks from 'DESIRE: UNLEASH' successfully charted. Existing songs like 'No Doubt', 'Bite Me', and 'Polaroid Love' also showed impressive resurgence.
Their global popularity is also soaring. 'DESIRE: UNLEASH' ranked high on iTunes 'Top Albums' in various countries/regions, including Japan (1st), Mexico (1st), the UK (5th), the US (6th), and Canada (7th), reaching the top of the 'Worldwide iTunes Album' chart.
'Bad Desire (With or Without You)' entered the iTunes 'Top Songs' chart in 38 countries/regions, including Indonesia, Thailand, and Brazil. It also topped the AWA 'Real-time Rising Music Top 100' in Japan and secured a high position on the Line Music real-time 'Song Top 100' chart.
The music video is also generating buzz. The dynamic music video for 'Bad Desire (With or Without You)', showcasing the members immersed in desire amidst fantasy and hell, surpassed 10 million views just 16 hours after its release. The music video ranked high in the trending videos in 28 countries/regions, including Argentina, Mexico, and Australia, and achieved the number one spot on YouTube Music Video Trending Worldwide.
'DESIRE: UNLEASH' is an album that captures the desire and patience of wanting to become one with the beloved. ENHYPEN, who declared, "Without desire, we wouldn't have come this far," continues to shine as they break their own limits since their debut.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN showcased their contrasting charms with the first performance of 'Bad Desire (With or Without You)' and 'Loose (Korean Ver.)' on Mnet's 'M Countdown' on the 5th, demonstrating their prowess as performers.
