The American R&B duo Emotional Oranges has clarified rumors of a collaboration with NewJeans' Daniel.
On the 19th, Emotional Oranges posted a photo on social media featuring Daniel.
In the photo, Daniel is sitting in a studio chair wearing denim jeans, a blue hooded zip-up, and sunglasses. Behind him, Emotional Oranges member Azaad can be seen looking at Daniel.
Emotional Oranges captioned the post, "Please wait a little longer. It will be out soon," along with an orange emoji representing themselves and a rabbit emoji representing NewJeans.
As speculation arose regarding a collaboration between Daniel and Emotional Oranges, as well as solo activities, Emotional Oranges deleted the post.
They then clarified, "There is no collaboration with Daniel. We only helped produce a song for Olivia Marsh," who is Daniel's older sister.
They added, "We apologize for any confusion caused. That was never our intention. We hope to meet you all on tour soon."
Meanwhile, NewJeans held an emergency press conference last November, declaring that their contract with Ador was terminated due to a breach of contract. However, the court accepted Ador's request for a provisional injunction against NewJeans members, hindering their independent activities.
According to the court's decision on the injunction, NewJeans cannot engage in independent activities without Ador's prior approval or consent until the first instance result of the main lawsuit is announced. The second hearing for the main lawsuit regarding the validity of the exclusive contract filed by Ador against NewJeans members is scheduled for June 5.
