The girl group VVS has returned with a bold concept.
On the 19th, VVS released their debut mini-album 'D.I.M.M (Diamonds In My Mouth)', shaking up the K-pop girl group landscape. The rookie girl group has been impressively releasing new songs without pause, including their debut single 'TEA' and 'Fact$' on the 22nd of last month, and 'Purrfect' on the 9th of this month.
’D.I.M.M’ is a hip-hop and R&B album filled with the intense energy of its five members: Britney, Aily, Lana, Jiwoo, and Liwon. It consists of five tracks and an interlude featuring a special guest. The title track, sharing the same name, pays homage to the legendary hip-hop producer DJ Screw, making it even more intriguing. It showcases overwhelming presence with rapping, performance, and visuals that cannot be seen in existing idols.
The choreography for the title track was completed through collaboration with WeDemBoyz and Shimizu. The organic combination with top-class performers creates the best synergy. VVS's unique swag, energy, and distinct style are deeply embedded in it. These characteristics are fully captured in the music video along with music that stays true to the essence of hip-hop.
VVS is the first girl group of the multinational label MZMC. Paul Brian Thompson, the representative of MZMC, is a composer and producer who has created countless K-pop hit songs in collaboration with artists like Taeyeon, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT, and Kang Daniel. VVS is referred to as the top-tier five gemstones, changing the texture of K-pop.
