Jannabi has announced a new journey that starts with questions about the essence of music.
The band Jannabi is gearing up for their 4th studio album release on the 28th, having first unveiled a prologue self-interview and new profile as part of their comeback preparations.
This self-interview hinted at the philosophy and direction of the album, which begins with the fundamental question, “What is music?” The members shared that throughout the process, they focused on the keywords of joy, essence, and freedom, expressing music in their own unique way.
Choi Jung-hoon reflected on how he came to accept music as a profession and expressed a desire to return to the original emotion of joy. He described this work as “a journey that honestly captures the gap between fantasy and reality.”
Kim Do-hyung also mentioned that he focused on creating music in a more intuitive and free manner, breaking away from traditional methods. Rather than being certain about the completeness, he followed the emotions and inspirations of the moment, resulting in an album that holds special meaning for him.
Both members mentioned that through this album, they aimed to express nostalgia for the past, or “nostalgia,” in their own way. They indicated that the 4th studio album would showcase a different musical color from before, not merely a simple retro but rather a sound collage edited with a modern sensibility.
The profile released alongside also heightened expectations for the comeback. Captured in a comfortable mood with natural light, it embodies Jannabi's unique artistry and warmth. The natural appearance of the two members facing their instruments visually expresses the analog sensibility and human touch of this album, capturing attention.

Meanwhile, ahead of the release of their 4th studio album, Jannabi will hold a solo concert titled ‘All Boys and Girls 2025’ at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul on the 26th and 27th. There is anticipation for what emotions and sounds they will present to the audience on stage before opening a new chapter in music.
