Alternative pop band The Rose is making a comeback after a year and a half hiatus.
The Rose (Kim Woo-sung, Park Do-joon, Lee Jae-hyung, Ha Jun) will release their new EP ‘WRLD’ on May 30, marking their return after about a year and a half.
‘WRLD’ is an album that depicts a musical journey combining the early emotions of The Rose with genre experimentation. With warm and beautiful melodies, The Rose's unique musical world offers listeners a time of genuine reflection. This album, which flexibly traverses various genres, goes beyond being a simple collection of music to embody The Rose's musical philosophy towards dreams, challenges, and growth.
The Rose previously made waves with their first full-length album ‘HEAL,’ which tells a story of healing and reached 4th place on the Billboard ‘Heatseekers Albums’ chart. They continued their momentum with the ‘HEAL Together’ world tour, which gathered over 90,000 audiences worldwide, headlining the 2023 Chicago Lollapalooza (Bacardi Stage), and becoming the first Korean band to perform at the 2024 Coachella stage.
Their second full-length album ‘DUAL,’ which carries the message of authenticity and balance from ‘HEAL,’ entered the Billboard 200 chart, marking another milestone in the band's growth. The Rose received praise for elegantly expressing duality through music that embodies their unique philosophy.
With the announcement of their comeback after about a year and a half, The Rose is determined to share a message of hope through ‘WRLD,’ providing listeners with the courage to dream again and comfort for a brighter tomorrow.
Additionally, they plan to continue transcending genre boundaries, fueled by their strong bond with fans and friendship among members, to touch the emotions of music fans worldwide.
