BLACKPINK's 'Lovesick Girls' MV Surpasses 800 Million Views... Continues Record March as 'Global Queens'

The music video for BLACKPINK's 'Lovesick Girls' has surpassed 800 million views on YouTube.

According to YG Entertainment on the 20th, BLACKPINK's 'Lovesick Girls' music video exceeded 800 million views on YouTube at around 1:31 PM on that day, approximately 1630 days after its release on October 2, 2020.

'Lovesick Girls' gained popularity with its lyrical melody combined with country-style guitar sounds and BLACKPINK's powerful vocals. Jisoo and Jennie participated in the songwriting and composition, and the music video received praise for showcasing the members' mature inner acting, unlike their previous works.

The song 'Lovesick Girls' also achieved remarkable success on global charts. Upon its release, it ranked 59th on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Global YouTube Song Top 100 chart for two consecutive weeks. The album 'THE ALBUM,' which includes this song, debuted at number 2 on both the US Billboard 200 and the UK Official Albums Chart, and maintained its ranking for 10 weeks and 7 weeks, respectively.

With this, BLACKPINK now has a total of 13 videos on YouTube with over 800 million views. Previously, 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' (2.2 billion views), 'Kill This Love' (2 billion views), 'How You Like That' performance video (1.8 billion views) and music video (1.3 billion views), 'BOOMBAYAH' (1.7 billion views), 'As If It's Your Last' (1.4 billion views), Lisa's solo song 'MONEY' performance video (1 billion views), Jennie's solo song 'SOLO' (1 billion views), 'Pink Venom' (900 million views), 'Ice Cream' (900 million views), 'Whistle' (900 million views), and 'Playing with Fire' (900 million views) have achieved the same view count.

To date, BLACKPINK has released a total of 48 videos with over 100 million views on YouTube, continuously breaking records as a team and as solo artists every minute and second. The cumulative views of these videos have surpassed 38.2 billion, and the number of subscribers to their official YouTube channel currently exceeds 96.1 million, making them the top in this field among artists worldwide.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK will kick off their 'BLACKPINK 2025 WORLD TOUR' starting from the main stadium of Goyang Sports Complex on July 5-6. They plan to connect with fans worldwide through a total of 10 cities and 18 performances, including four cities in North America (Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York) and four cities in Europe (Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London), and finally Tokyo, Japan.
