The group LE SSERAFIM's new album has topped both the Hanteo daily and weekly album charts.
According to the latest weekly album chart from Hanteo Chart, released on the 17th (counting period: March 10-16), LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Heo Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae) achieved 1st place with their mini album 'HOT'. The new album, released on the 14th, sold a total of 580,367 copies in just 3 days.
Interest in LE SSERAFIM can also be seen overseas. The new album ranked 4th on the 'Worldwide iTunes Albums' chart as of March 16, achieving the best results among K-pop artists for three consecutive days. It also entered the iTunes 'Top Albums' chart in 40 countries/regions, including the United States, Japan, France, and the United Kingdom. Among these, it made it to the top 10 in 27 countries/regions, including Hong Kong, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Italy.
Their popularity, especially in Japan, shone brightly. 'HOT' sold 69,291 copies on the day of its release in Japan, reaching the top of the Oricon Daily Album Ranking as of March 15. All six albums released in Korea since their debut album 'FEARLESS' have topped this chart, proving their remarkable local popularity.
International media are also paying attention to their new album. American Vogue commented, "This is an album that pioneers a new field for LE SSERAFIM." The British music magazine NME stated, "LE SSERAFIM has added a new perspective to their spirit of challenge through 'HOT'. They constantly overturn expectations of genres and undergo amazing transformations. They are a team that is continuously growing."
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM released a remix album of the title track 'HOT' from their mini album on the 17th at 1 PM. The album includes the original track 'HOT', an English version of the title track, a sped-up version, a slowed + reverb version, and an instrumental version, totaling 5 tracks.
