The funeral of the late trot singer Song Dae-kwan, who has passed away, will be held as the president of the Korean Singer Association.

On the 7th, the mortuary for the late Song Dae-kwan was set up at the Seoul National University Hospital funeral hall located in Yeon-gyeon-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. After paying their respects, Tae Jin-ah and Lee Ja-yeon, the presidents of the Korean Singer Association, stated in front of the press, “Tae Jin-ah and Lee Ja-yeon will serve as the funeral committee. After discussions with the bereaved family, it was decided to hold the funeral as the president of the singer association. The farewell ceremony will be completed from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM on the day, and if possible, the burial will take place immediately afterward,” adding, “Tae Jin-ah and Lee Ja-yeon will deliver the eulogy and tribute speech.”

According to the agency, Song Dae-kwan passed away that morning. The cause of death is reported to be a heart attack. The burial site is Seoul Memorial Park, and the burial is scheduled for February 9 at 11 AM.

Song Dae-kwan debuted in 1967 with the song "Uncle with a Lot of Affection" and reached his peak in 1975 with the hit "The Day of Dawn." He began to make a mark in the trot music scene by sweeping various awards and continuously releasing numerous hit songs such as "One Train Ticket," "Because of Love," "Four Beats," and "Popular Song."

Song Dae-kwan was also referred to as one of the "Four Kings of Trot" along with singers Tae Jin-ah, Hyun-cheol, and Seol Woon-do.
