ZEROBASEONE, who is set to make a domestic comeback in February, is shaking up the Japanese archipelago first.
ZEROBASEONE (Seong Han-bin, Kim Ji-woong, Zhang Hao, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae-rae, Ricky, Kim Kyu-bin, Park Geon-wook, Han Yu-jin) simultaneously released the audio and music video for 'NOW OR NEVER', one of the double title tracks from their first Japanese EP 'PREZENT', today (15th) at midnight.
'NOW OR NEVER' is a genre that combines drum and bass with rock sounds, showcasing a harmonious blend of emotional piano and energetic guitar melodies. The lyrics convey a heartfelt message: "Even when we are apart, I always keep my feelings for you, and I have finally returned to you."
The music video released alongside the audio features the nine members as college students. Viewers can experience the brilliant youth narrative unique to ZEROBASEONE, as the members enjoying their college life captivate with a different charm from their stage performances. From the night sky filled with fireworks to the members performing in baseball uniforms, the diverse visuals are definitely a highlight.
'PREZENT' is an album prepared as a gift for their fans, known as 'ZEROZ', in response to ZEROBASEONE's success in dominating major local charts upon their Japanese debut. It includes a total of six tracks, featuring four original Japanese songs and two Japanese versions of their Korean songs, showcasing ZEROBASEONE's broad musical spectrum across various genres.
ZEROBASEONE achieved 'Half Million Seller' status just a week after debuting with their first Japanese single 'ゆらゆら -運命の花-(Yurayura -Unmei no Hana-)' last March, and received 'Double Platinum' certification from the Japan Record Association for exceeding cumulative shipments of 500,000 copies. This single topped the '2024 Best Sellers' K-POP TOP 20 at Japan's largest record store, Tower Records, and ranked 16th on the Billboard Japan annual 'Top Single Sales' chart, creating a 'ZB1 craze' in Japan.
Furthermore, ZEROBASEONE is gearing up for a dual success with the release of their Japanese EP 'PREZENT' on the 29th, while also kicking off their domestic comeback. They will pre-release the track 'Doctor! Doctor!' on the 20th ahead of their mini album's release.
