Pledis Entertainment, the agency of the group SEVENTEEN and TO1, has taken a stand.

On the afternoon of the 27th, Pledis Entertainment (hereafter referred to as Pledis) announced through the fan community platform Weverse, “We have confirmed in real-time that malicious posts and comments aimed at defaming or insulting the artists by spreading false information are being actively created.”

They continued, “We have been intensively collecting information regarding acts that create or disseminate rumors that are completely different from the actual performance of the artists' albums. We are responding strictly to malicious posts about the artists across various channels, including social media and online communities,” and added, “We are taking strong legal action against acts that infringe on the rights of the artists.”

Pledis also mentioned the situation regarding TO1. The agency stated, “The act of spreading false information related to the chart manipulation rumors has been recognized as guilty, and a fine has been confirmed. Investigative procedures against multiple defendants are also underway. We will do our utmost to ensure that severe penalties are imposed.”

Finally, Pledis requested active reporting from fans, stating that their attention and reports are of great help.

SEVENTEEN will be holding a world tour in major cities across Asia in January and February next year. TO1 is a six-member boy group that Pledis introduced after a nine-year hiatus following SEVENTEEN. They have been receiving a lot of love since their debut in January.
