Singer Lee Young-hyun revealed that she experienced a period of stage fatigue.
On the afternoon of the 19th, a press conference was held to celebrate the release of Lee Young-hyun's third studio album ‘Private’ at Ilji Art Hall in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam, Seoul. Lee Young-hyun is making her return after about eight years since the release of her fourth studio album in 2016.
Lee Young-hyun opened up, saying, “There was a time when I was scared of the stage. It was after the MBC competition program ‘I Am a Singer.’ I had a hiatus for about 2-3 years from that point.”
She continued, “I had a strong desire to do well, which turned into an obsession. It was mentally challenging. There were times when I couldn’t produce the right sound. During that time, I worried a lot that if I kept taking breaks, the public would forget me. However, there were fans who waited for me. Now, I feel much better.”
Since her debut, Lee Young-hyun has been recognized as one of the top vocalists in the country. She shared her vocal secrets, saying, “Eating well, sleeping well, and maintaining my condition are the priorities. Consistent exercise and practice are essential.”
Her new album is a compilation that captures moments from Lee Young-hyun's personal life, reflecting the dictionary definition of ‘private.’ It expresses stories that one might want to share or hide, various moments faced throughout life, and perspectives on love and breakup, all in a way that is deeply personal yet relatable to everyone. The album consists of a total of 11 tracks, all of which are title tracks.
Lee Young-hyun's new album will be released on various online music sites at 6 PM on the same day.
