According to the integrated ticket sales network of the Korean Film Council on the 17th, 'Jujutsu Kaisen: The Movie - The Cursed Child' (hereafter referred to as 'Jujutsu Kaisen: The Movie') attracted 32,355 viewers the previous day, securing the top spot in the overall box office.
It swiftly surpassed the previously reigning 'Chainsaw Man: The Movie - The Reze Arc' and the Korean films 'Boss' and 'Can't Help It' with an impressive momentum. It recorded high audience ratings with a CGV Golden Egg Index of 96%, a Megabox score of 9.1, and a Lotte Cinema score of 9.3, receiving rave reviews from viewers.
'Chainsaw Man: The Movie - The Reze Arc' fell to second place, attracting over 28,000 viewers on the same day, bringing its cumulative audience to approximately 1,969,000.
The film is based on the popular episode of Fujimoto Tatsuki's manga 'Chainsaw Man', which has surpassed 30 million copies in global circulation, and is on the verge of crossing the 2 million mark.
In third place is 'Boss' (directed by Ra Hee-chan), which attracted over 22,000 viewers, bringing its cumulative audience to approximately 2,139,000. Fourth place goes to 'Can't Help It' (directed by Park Chan-wook), which drew over 15,000 viewers, with a cumulative audience of approximately 2,698,000.
