CGV Launches Japanese Film Festival 'Romance Explosion Universe'

CGV announced on the 13th that it will hold the 'Romance Explosion Universe' Japanese film festival, featuring unique Japanese romance films, in 15 theaters nationwide.

The films being screened in the 'Romance Explosion Universe' Japanese film festival include 'In the World of Her Who Doesn't Know Me', 'Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight', and 'My Heart Wants to Scream'.

Set to be released on the 22nd, 'In the World of Her Who Doesn't Know Me' will have its premiere screening for domestic audiences on the 17th and 18th, ahead of its official release. The film depicts an emotional parallel world romance where Riku, who wakes up in a strange world where he and his lover Minami no longer know each other, tries to regain his lost love. It is directed by Miki Takahiro, known for 'Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight'.

Having attracted a cumulative audience of 1.21 million in South Korea and creating a syndrome for Japanese romance films, 'Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight' will be screened for two weeks from the 14th to the 27th. It tells the poignant love story of high school girl Maori, who suffers from anterograde amnesia that resets her memory every time she wakes up, and Toru, an ordinary boy living a mundane life.

Also being screened is 'My Heart Wants to Scream', a live-action film based on the anime of the same name. It depicts the story of a girl, Naruse Jun, who has sealed her voice due to past wounds, and her three friends as they prepare for a local exchange musical performance.

CGV has also prepared a special merchandise giveaway event for customers watching the films in this festival. All viewers of 'In the World of Her Who Doesn't Know Me' will receive special gifts, while supplies last for viewers of 'Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight' and 'My Heart Wants to Scream'.
