Renowned actors Yoo Seung-ho, Kim Dong-wook, and Seo Jeong-yeon have come together for the short film '3 Days' (directed by Kim Soon-soo).
'3 Days' is a human family drama that depicts a son holding a three-day funeral for his deceased mother, spending time that feels like a final gift from her, and moving towards hope through this experience. The mother's final journey, her funeral, is interpreted as a turning point for the son, marking a new beginning, which is expected to lead the narrative in an intriguing way.
During the script reading held in Sangam-dong, Seoul, last November, director Kim Soon-soo and producer Jang Chan-yang were joined by the lead actors Yoo Seung-ho, Kim Dong-wook, and Seo Jeong-yeon, who delivered passionate performances that made the scene reminiscent of an actual filming set. It is said that the three showcased perfect chemistry, making it hard to believe it was their first time acting together.
Yoo Seung-ho plays 'Tae-ha', the son who matures as he sees his mother's final journey, while Kim Dong-wook takes on the role of 'Ha-jin', a mysterious funeral director leading a special funeral. Yoo Seung-ho also participated in the production of the film's OST.
Seo Jeong-yeon transforms into a deep and warm mother figure, expected to tug at the audience's heartstrings.
Director Kim Soon-soo stated, "I wanted to convey the message that death is not necessarily the end for those who are grieving beside it," adding, "As this film portrays the process of the bereaved finding hope to rise again through the three days of the funeral, I hope it provides a small comfort to many."
Scheduled for exclusive release at CGV in March.
