CGV to Host '2025 Academy Special Exhibition'... Screening 15 Films Including Unreleased Works

CGV presents the buzzworthy nominees for the 97th Academy Awards.

On the 7th, CGV announced that it will hold the '2025 Academy Special Exhibition' from the 8th to the 11th of next month, screening 15 nominated films ahead of the 2025 Academy Awards.

The 97th Academy Awards are scheduled to take place on March 2 (local time) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

The CGV Art House '2025 Academy Special Exhibition' will feature a total of 15 films, including unreleased domestic works such as 'Emilia Perez', 'Conclave', 'Complete Unknown', 'Sing Sing', 'Maria', 'Flow', as well as previously released films like 'September 5: Dangerous Scoop', 'Nosferatu', 'Real Pain', 'Brutalist', 'Substance', 'Anora', 'Inside Out 2', and 'Wild Robot', which is expected to receive a lot of attention from movie fans.

'Emilia Perez', which will be released on March 12, has been nominated in 13 categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress, making it the most nominated film at this year's Academy Awards. The thriller 'Conclave', which depicts the process of electing a new pope in a secret meeting following the sudden death of the pope, will also be available. 'Complete Unknown', in which Timothée Chalamet plays music icon Bob Dylan, has been nominated in 8 categories, including Best Picture and Best Actor, drawing attention.

The award-winning film 'Brutalist', which tells the tumultuous life of genius architect 'Laszlo Toth', a three-time Golden Globe winner, and the inspiring true story 'Sing Sing', which follows inmates finding new life goals through theater, will also be screened. The biopic 'Maria' about Maria Callas features Angelina Jolie in a remarkable performance. 'September 5: Dangerous Scoop' covers the true story of the ABC Sports team that broadcast live the unprecedented terrorist hostage crisis during the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics.

In addition to 'Flow', which won the Best Animated Feature at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards, three animated films nominated for Best Animated Feature, including 'Inside Out 2' and 'Wild Robot', will also be showcased.

The shocking story of 'Substance', which has been making waves domestically, will also be screened. The horror film 'Nosferatu' is a modern remake of the 1922 classic directed by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau. 'Real Pain' captures the laughter and emotion experienced by two cousins with opposite personalities during a trip to Poland to honor their grandmother's death.

The film adaptation of the Broadway musical 'Wicked' and 'Anora', directed by Sean Baker, known for his impactful work 'The Florida Project', will also be shown.

Customers who watch this special exhibition and validate their tickets at the box office will receive merchandise on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. 'Emilia Perez' will provide specially made 2025 Oscar voting ballots, while 'Conclave', 'Flow', 'Maria', and 'Substance' will offer A3-sized posters. Art House Club members will also receive a movie review notebook to share their thoughts after watching the films.

The '2025 Academy Special Exhibition' will be presented in 17 theaters nationwide, including CGV Gangbyeon, Gwangju Sangmu, Daegu Academy, Daejeon, Daehakro, Myeongdong Station Cine Library, Seomyeon, Picnic, Sinchon Artreon, Apgujeong, Yeouido, Ori, Yongsan I-Park Mall, Incheon, Cheonan Pentaport, Cheongju Yullyang, and Chuncheon.
