Actor Kwon Sang-woo expressed pride in the series adaptation of “Hitman.”
On the morning of the 27th, at the production report conference for the movie “Hitman 2” (directed by Choi Won-seob) held at CGV Yongsan in Seoul, Kwon Sang-woo began by saying, “It’s not easy for a film to be turned into a series, but here we are again.”
He added, “I hope ‘Hitman’ will be filled with laughter in the new year. I believe this sequel was made possible by all of our passion and hearts. New member Kim Sung-oh also played a central role well. Although the production budget isn’t large, I think we filmed it well and meaningfully.”
He emphasized, “I have worked on numerous projects, but ‘Hitman 2’ holds a different meaning for me. My affection for it is that great.”
The film is a comedy action story about a webtoon artist who quickly falls from being a hit writer to a ‘brain-dead writer’ after a terror incident mimicking his ambitious new webtoon occurs, leading him to be falsely accused as a criminal overnight. It stars Kwon Sang-woo, Jung Joon-ho, Lee Yi-kyung, Hwang Woo-seul-hye, Kim Sung-oh, and Lee Ji-won.
It will be released on January 22 next year.
