Actor Ko In-beom (65) has been appointed as the next director of the Busan Cinema Center.
According to the city of Busan on the 26th, the Cinema Center held a board meeting on the 23rd and confirmed Ko In-beom as the next director.
The Cinema Center's Executive Recommendation Committee selected two candidates for the next director and recommended them to Park Hyung-joon, the mayor of Busan, who made the final decision.
Born in Busan in 1959, Ko In-beom has appeared on various stages including theater, drama, and film. He has served as the president of the Busan Theater Association and the Busan Actors Association, and has expanded his activities by serving as the executive chairman of the Busan Festival Organizing Committee since 2022.
His term will begin on January 12 of next year.
