The stills from the late actor Song Jae-rim's last film 'Crash' (directed by Hyun Hae-ri) have been released.
On the 13th, the distribution company Muam Co., Ltd. and Film Brothers unveiled stills from 'Crash' featuring Song Jae-rim. The film is a crime drama based on the true story of the massive cryptocurrency crash that shook the world with a loss of 50 trillion won.
Through the chronicle of a young entrepreneur making irreversible choices, it depicts the realities of startup investments and the addiction of young people to stock trading by day and cryptocurrency gambling by night.
In the film, Song Jae-rim plays the protagonist Yang Do-hyun, a self-proclaimed business genius and cryptocurrency developer known as MOMMY. He portrays a character who gradually falls from grace in his pursuit of success, spanning the years from 2009 to 2023.
Notably, 'Crash' is based on a true story that has produced numerous victims and for which a final judgment from judicial authorities is still pending, leading to thorough pre-research and legal consultations for precise review.
The film is directed by Hyun Hae-ri, a former PD of a broadcasting company known for directing 'The Woman Who Worked as a Contract Employee Nine Times.' It is a production supported by the Korea Creative Content Agency's New Media Content sector.
Scheduled for release on January 15 next year.
