Singer Kim Bum-soo will conclude his 25th anniversary with his first concert documentary film.

On the afternoon of the 6th at 3:50 PM, a press conference for Kim Bum-soo's first concert documentary film 'Kim Bum-soo 25th Anniversary Concert Film: Journey' was held at Lotte Cinema in Gunja-dong, Gwangjang-gu, Seoul, attended by directors Go Eun-kyung and Lee Joo-hyun, along with Kim Bum-soo.

'Kim Bum-soo 25th Anniversary Concert Film: Journey' is a concert documentary that captures the excitement of Kim Bum-soo's 25th anniversary tour concert 'Journey, The Original,' which took place in 12 cities including Seoul, Busan, Daejeon, Australia, and Canada starting last April.

After the press screening, Kim Bum-soo took the stage and introduced himself as "the singer Kim Bum-soo who somehow became an actor," adding, "Personally, I feel very embarrassed about monitoring my work, whether it's video or support. So, just facing my face on the screen was very scary and embarrassing."

He continued, "However, as I watched the film, I started to hear the stories and narratives rather than just seeing my face," and added, "The reason I was able to sit through the 1 hour and 30 minutes without running away is that the stories of those people and my songs piled up and created traces, and I thought that their stories were the main focus of the film."

When asked about his emotional acting in the film, Kim Bum-soo said, "Isn't it famous that actor Hwang Jung-min said, 'I just added a spoon to the table set by the staff and production team'? At that time, I thought, 'He acts so well, he must just be saying that.' But I really didn't do much, yet they filmed it in a way that made it seem like I acted with rich emotions. I think it turned out well, so I give credit to the two directors."

In response, director Go Eun-kyung joked, "Isn't Kim Bum-soo a visual singer? I filmed focusing only on Kim Bum-soo's face. He started to look more like Lee Byung-hun. When I asked him to show inner acting while playing the song, he moved his fingertips so beautifully. At that moment, I realized that Kim Bum-soo has a desire for acting. I hope he continues to rely on his visuals as a singer."

Notably, Lee Byung-hun makes a special narration appearance in 'Kim Bum-soo 25th Anniversary Concert Film: Journey.' He plays the role of reading various stories from fans who have shared their lives with Kim Bum-soo over the past 25 years.

When asked how Lee Byung-hun got involved in the narration, Kim Bum-soo laughed and said, "I sang at Lee Byung-hun's wedding, and I also sang at the wedding of the head of BH Entertainment, so it was a mutual support situation."

He added, "The film contains the story of one of my long-time fans. I have heard about their struggles with cancer and their relapses. I wanted to convey their story with a sincere voice, as they had the courage to send it."

Since his debut in 1999, Kim Bum-soo has been a vocalist who has touched the hearts of the public with his powerful voice and explosive singing ability for 25 years. He has numerous hit songs including 'I Miss You,' 'End Love,' 'A Day,' 'Sadness Utilization,' 'Passing By,' and 'Appear.'

When asked what he would like to say to himself after 25 years of activity, Kim Bum-soo replied, "I tend to be harsh on myself. So, no matter how good the results are, I don't think I've ever praised myself. So this time, I want to tell myself that I've lived well for 25 years and that I've done well this year."

He also mentioned, "I had many plans this year. Rather than wanting to boast about my 25 years as a singer, I wanted to give gifts to those who have loved me over the years, so I released a regular album and went on tour. In fact, this film was not part of the plan. But I feel like a great fortune is coming to me this year. I am so blessed and honored to be able to release the finale of the projects I prepared this year at the end of the year," he smiled.

Finally, Kim Bum-soo expressed to the prospective audience, "I don't think this film is a movie where I am the main character. I believe it is the story of everyone who has loved my songs over the past 25 years, and while only 4-5 fan stories are included, I hope that those who have stories related to my songs can reflect on their precious times while watching this film. I hope it becomes a small gift for them."

Meanwhile, 'Kim Bum-soo 25th Anniversary Concert Film: Journey' will be released exclusively at Lotte Cinema on the 11th.
