Mocha from the group ILLIT showcased her diverse charms on ‘Knowing Brother’.
Mocha appeared as a foreign transfer student in the special episode ‘Return of Our Language Competition’ aired on JTBC on the 18th.
Originally from Japan, Mocha caught attention with her seamless integration into Korean culture. With her fluent Korean skills, she earned the nickname ‘Kim Mokhwa’ and actively participated in the pure Korean language quiz. She also shared, “I returned after working in Japan and missed Korean food so much,” which resonated with the other foreign transfer students.
Her unique side, which was not seen on stage, also stood out. Mocha skillfully rode a unicycle, showcasing her excellent athletic ability as she moved around the set, leaving the cast in awe. In the following segment, she charmingly reenacted iconic scenes from advertisements and dramas in Japanese, bringing smiles to everyone.
At the end of the broadcast, Mocha expressed, “I was happy to come back to ‘Knowing Brother’ after a long time. It was my first time appearing on a variety show alone, and I am grateful for all the help I received.”
Meanwhile, ILLIT, to which Mocha belongs, is preparing for a comeback in November and the fan concert ‘2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY ENCORE’. According to the HYBE music group label Belift Lab, the concert, which will be held on the 8th and 9th of next month at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul, sold out quickly on the first day of pre-sale, proving ILLIT's ticket power.
