Jang Sae-byeol, a former star golf announcer and the CEO of New Star Holdings, has lost her mother. This news comes just five months after she lost her father in May.
On the 18th, Jang Sae-byeol announced, "The most loving and kindest mother in the world has passed away."
Her mother, Jeon Yong-seon, passed away on the 17th at around 9:20 PM, at the age of 74.
Having lost both parents this year, Jang Sae-byeol is in deep sorrow and had to travel to a regional location on the 18th to fulfill an irreplaceable schedule. She is expected to arrive at the funeral home that night. Her brother, Jang Mi-ru, and his wife will be receiving guests starting at 10 AM.
The funeral home is set up at Room 11 of the Seoul St. Mary's Hospital (Banpo-dong). The funeral will be held at 6:30 AM on the 20th, and the burial site is the Seoul City Crematorium.
Starting her career as a sports announcer and gaining fame as the 'Golf Goddess,' Jang Sae-byeol established New Star Holdings in 2023, launching the golf management brand 'New Star M' and the commerce brand 'New Star C.' Last month, she also attended the VIP screening of the movie 'Boss' (directed by Ra Hee-chan) to show her support.
