The harmonious daily life of the three families, Lee Young-ae, Bae Soo-bin, and Kim Si-ah, has been revealed.
KBS2's new weekend mini-series ‘Eunsu's Good Day’ (directed by Song Hyun-wook, written by Jeon Young-shin), which is set to premiere in September, depicts the desperate and dangerous partnership of a parent, Kang Eunsu, who wants to protect her family, and a two-faced teacher, Lee Kyung, who accidentally comes into possession of a bag of drugs.
Lee Young-ae plays the role of Kang Eunsu, who is pushed to the brink overnight due to her husband's worsening illness and financial bankruptcy. One day, while struggling to survive in a life that has collapsed in an instant, Eunsu discovers a suspicious bag left behind by someone, leading her into a world of taboo.
Bae Soo-bin portrays Park Do-jin, Eunsu's husband and the father of their daughter, Park Soo-ah. After marrying Eunsu, who was a colleague at the same bank, Do-jin enjoys a happy life as the head of a modest but harmonious family. However, he receives a terminal diagnosis due to a sudden illness, and the reckless investments he made to support his family without him end up dragging them deeper into despair.
Kim Si-ah plays the role of Park Soo-ah, the only daughter who has grown up receiving abundant love from Eunsu and Do-jin. Although Soo-ah lived happily like a friend with her parents, she is faced with an unbearable reality at a young age due to a series of tragedies that strike her family.
The released stills capture the morning scene of the once-harmonious Eunsu family. Eunsu is seen setting a full table for her husband, who is about to leave for work, and her daughter, who is getting ready for school, in a scene that is both ordinary and warm. However, a letter in Eunsu's hand soon shakes everything to its core. Do-jin's expression, devoid of laughter, hints at the impending disaster, and when her husband's secret is revealed, a cold silence descends upon the once-warm table.
In the midst of despair, Eunsu's embrace of her daughter Soo-ah reveals her strong maternal instinct to protect her shaken family until the end. With Eunsu trying to protect the family in place of her husband, Do-jin teetering on the edge, and Soo-ah facing unexpected realities, the fate of the three characters draws attention.
The production team of ‘Eunsu's Good Day’ stated, “As can be felt from the stills alone, the ensemble created by actors Lee Young-ae, Bae Soo-bin, and Kim Si-ah was remarkably natural. Their sincere performances and intricate narrative will resonate deeply with viewers,” and added, “We ask for your great expectations for the unique transformations and thrilling narratives that the three actors will present.”
‘Eunsu's Good Day’ will premiere on September 20 at 9:20 PM.
