YG Entertainment (CEO Yang Min-seok) has been selected as the Excellent Company for IR at this year's Korea IR Awards.
YG Entertainment announced on the 29th that it was selected as an Excellent Company for IR in the KOSDAQ market at the '2025 Korea IR Awards Ceremony' held recently at the Korea Exchange in Yeouido, Seoul, and also won the Best IRO (Investor Relations Officer) award in the individual category.
The 'Korea IR Awards' have been established and awarded annually since 2001 by the Korea IR Council under the Korea Exchange to promote IR activities and the healthy development of the capital market. Candidates are selected through extensive feedback and evaluation procedures from institutional investors, and the final award-winning companies are determined through a rigorous review by the Korea IR Awards Selection Committee, composed of experts from various fields.
YG Entertainment received high marks for its transparent IR activities that prioritize appropriate corporate value assessment, active participation of management, including the CEO, in IR activities, establishment and implementation of medium- to long-term shareholder return policies, enhancement of shareholder trust through consistent messaging, and the publication of a sustainability management report that includes a roadmap for sustainable performances and eco-friendly albums, demonstrating its commitment to ESG management.
Over the past year, YG Entertainment has conducted approximately 300 domestic and international IR meetings and NDRs, expanding communication with investors and significantly increasing global coverage, achieving results through active online and offline IR activities.
Kim Hyung-moon, leader of the Management Support Team at YG Entertainment, who won the Best IRO award, has worked to ensure equity in information provision through the establishment of a simultaneous disclosure system in Korean and English, in-depth feedback through both online and offline channels, and the development of IR strategies and reports considering the unique characteristics of the entertainment industry.
A representative from YG Entertainment stated, “Transparent and responsible IR activities are the duty of a company and a key foundation for building trust in the capital market,” and added, “We will continue to strengthen trust with global investors through fair information provision and consistent communication, while enhancing corporate value and shareholder value together.”
