Shu, a former member of the girl group S.E.S., took the stage alone without her fellow members.
On the 28th, Shu released a video titled ‘Shu meets S.E.S. fans ‘friends’ on stage after a long time (+official schedule get ready with me?)’ on her YouTube channel ‘Human Dwae Shu’.
In addition, she posted on her personal account, “The stage video released last night was the moment I stood on an official stage for the first time in 8 years,” and added, “I was really nervous preparing for a live performance alone instead of with the three of us. Thanks to the ‘friends’ who came from far away like Busan, Daegu, and Daejeon to support me, I was able to finish the performance safely.”
Furthermore, she actively promoted, saying, “If you’re curious about how I looked singing on stage after 8 years, please check out the uploaded video.”
In fact, the stills she released captured her singing on stage with a microphone and interacting with fans.
On the 5th, she attended the 3rd Cheonan Bora Day Talk Concert held at Cheonan City Hall, where she passionately performed ‘Running’, a song with a calm melody and encouraging lyrics among various S.E.S. tracks.
Meanwhile, Shu debuted in 1997 as part of S.E.S. (Bada, Yujin, Shu). She married basketball player Lim Hyo-seong in 2010 and had a son, Yu, that same year, followed by twin daughters, Ra-hee and Ra-yul.
However, in 2019, she was sentenced to 6 months in prison, 2 years of probation, and 80 hours of community service due to habitual gambling overseas, which shocked many.
In particular, she was embroiled in rumors of discord with member Bada in 2023. During a live broadcast, Bada directly mentioned the discord with Shu, criticizing her for wearing revealing outfits while attempting to return to broadcasting after the gambling controversy, which strained their relationship.
At that time, Bada sincerely advised Shu, saying, “Look around you and see if there are really people who care for you. That’s important. People who only tell you what you want to hear might be melting you away. Those who sweet-talk you? I think that’s all a lie. When you get your act together and come back, you will be a much more amazing person than me and Yujin.”
Since then, Shu has shared updates about her life through her comeback broadcasts but has not mentioned her relationship with Bada.
