Singer Kim Jong-kook, who has drawn attention for his ultra-small wedding, confessed that he also felt sorry for acquaintances who were not invited as guests.
On the 25th, a video titled ‘I’m not an actor trainer... (Feat. Im Si-wan, Park Gyu-young, Jo Woo-jin)’ was posted on the ‘Kim Jong-kook GYM JONG KOOK’ channel.
Kim Jong-kook began by saying to lawyer Park Min-cheol, “I had a small wedding, but there are occasionally people who feel hurt when they are not invited (as guests).”
He continued, “If the parties involved have their reasons for having a small wedding, don’t you usually understand?” revealing some disappointment towards acquaintances who did not understand his situation. Lawyer Park responded, “They don’t understand that? They need to be cut off,” which brought laughter.

Kim Jong-kook mentioned, “There were acquaintances who said they would send congratulatory money even though they were not invited as guests,” adding, “Even my younger siblings said that. They wanted to contribute at least with congratulatory money, and I naturally said that was fine.”
Earlier, on the 5th, Kim Jong-kook married a non-celebrity woman at a location in Seoul. The wedding was held privately with less than 100 attendees, including family and relatives from both sides. Kim Jong-kook kept the venue confidential until the day of the wedding and reportedly informed guests of the location only the day before the ceremony.
Afterward, Kim Jong-kook expressed his gratitude to the public who congratulated him on his YouTube channel, saying, “I apologize for not being able to convey many stories due to holding the ceremony quietly for various reasons.”
He stated, “My wife dislikes being in the spotlight, so we wanted to share the wedding news quietly. I originally thought about talking about it only after getting married, but we held a small ceremony with only close acquaintances,” and added, “I feel sorry for those who felt fatigued by news related to me. I thank everyone who understood the situation a lot.”
