The special edition of 'Documentary 3 Days' will be broadcast today (22nd) to viewers in their living rooms.
On the 22nd at 10 PM, KBS2 will air 'Documentary 3 Days Special Edition - About Time: A Journey Back 10 Years in 72 Hours'.
The current affairs and cultural program 'Documentary 3 Days' ended three years ago, but recently, the promise made 10 years ago by two female college students and a camera director has gained renewed attention on online communities and social media.
During the 'Documentary 3 Days' episode at Andong Station, the two female college students traveling by train told the camera director, "Please make the documentary. In 10 years." The camera director replied, "Will I still be doing this then?" The female student said, "Let's meet here on August 15, 2025," and the camera director responded, "Okay, it's a promise," as they linked their pinky fingers.
The camera director stirred up interest by posting on social media on the 28th of last month, "The day we promised 10 years ago is coming. Are we going? Or not?" Netizens reacted with comments like "Romantic pass," "I hope 'Documentary 3 Days' makes a comeback through this," and "So excited! It's romantic."
On the promised day, many people gathered at the old Andong Station square on the 15th. Attention was focused on whether the promise would be kept.
However, on the morning of the 15th at around 7:37 AM, a message stating "I will detonate explosives at the old Andong Station square" was posted in the chat of the 'KBS Documentary' YouTube live broadcast, causing a commotion. The police, upon receiving the report, evacuated citizens and began a search, but no explosives were found. Later, the police tracked down the suspect and arrested a high school student, A, at his home in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, on charges of public intimidation.
Amidst this, a post on the PD of 'Documentary 3 Days' social media stated, "72 hours were still romantic," along with a photo, drawing attention.
Ten years have flown by. In the meantime, the promised location, Andong Station, has been closed, and the program that recorded the promise of the three has been off the air since March 2022.
