A current firefighter in Incheon has been reported to the police for allegedly receiving 80 tickets for singer Psy's concert from an event planning company.
On the 21st, the Incheon Police Agency's Anti-Corruption and Economic Crime Investigation Unit announced that they are investigating Fire Officer A from the Incheon Western Fire Station, who has been reported for violating the Anti-Corruption Act.
Fire Officer A is suspected of receiving 80 tickets for the 'Psy's Summer Show' held at the Asiad Stadium in Seo-gu, Incheon, last June.
The event planning company claimed that the tickets were given under the pretext of inviting family members of firefighters, but it is reported that Fire Officer A did not report this to his superiors.
After the Incheon Fire Department became aware of the circumstances surrounding Fire Officer A's violation of the Anti-Corruption Act last month, they suspended him from his position and reported him to the police.
A police official stated, "It is true that a report has been received and an investigation is underway," adding, "We plan to investigate the specific facts of the case."
