Actress Kim Young-ok has taken on her first challenge of eating Malatang.
On the 20th, Kim Young-ok revealed her attempt to eat Malatang, a dish popular among the MZ generation, on her YouTube channel.
Kim Young-ok stated, "I've never tried Malatang or Tanghulu," adding, "I'm still very curious about food."
She continued, "I was curious about Malatang but never ordered it. If I want to eat something, why hold back? I need to try everything. I need to understand what young people like. I shouldn't be lazy."
Upon arriving at the restaurant, she tasted various sauces like Yongji sauce, Sundy sauce, and Geonhee sauce, exclaiming, "It's delicious," before attempting to make her own sauce.
When asked by the production team if she would like a drink of liquor, Kim Young-ok replied, "It would be nice. I prefer to drink a little strong liquor. I don't like just getting full without getting tipsy."
Kim Young-ok expressed her joy upon receiving a birthday cake prepared by the production team. She said, "I haven't had a birthday party even once until I turn 89. It's not that no one did it for me, but I said I didn't want it. What is this?" and confessed, "I feel like crying."
In conclusion, Kim Young-ok said, "I feel liberated. It's been a long time since I've eaten only what I want. Even if someone says it's bad, don't hold back too much. At least once a month, try to be a bit reckless. It's okay."
