Singer Shin Ji expressed her honest feelings after being embroiled in fierce controversy following her marriage announcement with her fiancé Moon Won.
On the afternoon of the 18th, Shin Ji appeared as a guest on Channel A's entertainment show 'Close Friends Documentary - Four-Person Table' alongside singer Ailee and broadcaster Ji Sang Ryul.
On that day, Shin Ji said, "I had so many schedules in the second half of the year that I was planning to hold the wedding next year, but I didn't have time for the wedding photos. We thought we would quietly take them in advance, but I was surprised when the article came out on the actual shooting day."
She continued, "It went strangely, like 'That's why we released a duet song.' The whole situation was not natural," adding, "I felt sorry that I couldn't reveal it in advance, thinking that fans might feel disappointed."
She went on to say, "I told him that if it became an issue when it was revealed that I was dating him, he should let me know if there was anything wrong. The friend I have been dating for two years is not that kind of person, which is why I decided to marry him. He is really a hardworking person," and expressed, "As expected, negative comments came out, and even though it was all untrue, it was reproduced."
She added, "I have experienced many things over the past 27 years, but since this is my first time, even though I am a mentally strong person, it hasn't been easy. My parents knew everything and gave their permission, and I think this is a matter that needs time."
