Harin (real name Harada Rin), a model from Japan with a ‘debut team’ history in the group New Jeans, recently shared her thoughts on comments made during her trainee days that have become a topic of discussion.
On the 14th, Harin expressed her feelings in a post written in Japanese on her YouTube community, stating, “I am grateful to receive sudden attention, but I am also a bit worried these days.”
She clarified, “The content I discussed in the interview was merely about very personal feelings of frustration and disappointment from my past, and it was not intended to criticize or expose any specific company or individual.”
She added, “It was certainly a difficult time for me, but at the same time, it was a grateful opportunity and time that made me stronger, and I am still supporting the members who laughed and cried with me back then.”
Last month, Harin appeared on the YouTube channel of Japanese actor Takeda Hiromitsu and shared stories from her idol trainee days.
In the video, Harin revealed, “Right before my debut, I had to give up my dream of being an idol due to a sudden decision by the company,” and added, “One day, they suddenly told me to terminate my contract and that I was the only one being let go.”
After the interview was released, negative comments appeared on Harin's official channel, prompting her to issue a statement.
Born in 2003, Harin is a former member of the Japanese idol group Shibu3 Project and passed the audition for Source Music under HYBE in 2020, later transferring to Ador and participating in the New Jeans debut team.
Currently, Harin is active as a model and actress.
