Actor Chae Jong-hyeop has expressed his position regarding the reports of contract termination for the upcoming movie 'Turtle'.

On the 13th, his agency Blitzway Entertainment stated, "The movie 'Turtle' had specific shooting periods outlined in the contract, and actor Chae Jong-hyeop was scheduled to start filming a drama after completing the shooting within that period."

They continued, "However, due to the production company's circumstances, the shooting period specified in the contract has passed. We have confirmed that there was no prior consultation or agreement regarding the change in the shooting schedule among the actor, the drama broadcasting channel, and the drama production company."

They added, "As a result, we proposed to the production company to proceed with the movie shooting after the drama filming was completed, but we could not reach an agreement, and we had no choice but to send a notice of contract termination." They stated, "We still hope for a smooth negotiation as a priority, but if a final adjustment cannot be made, we plan to proceed with legal procedures according to the contract and relevant laws."

On the same day, Joy News 24 reported that Chae Jong-hyeop sent a notice of contract termination to the production company Popcorn Film regarding his participation in the movie 'Turtle'.

Popcorn Film has stated that Chae Jong-hyeop's notice of contract termination is an assertion of unilateral termination, and they have indicated that "if this matter is not resolved amicably, we will take legal action, including claims for damages against the actor."
