Han Seong-joo (50), a former Miss Korea and active announcer, has recently made headlines after halting her activities due to a video leak incident involving her partner.
Recently, Han Seong-joo posted a selfie showcasing her unchanged beauty on social media, writing, “Let’s make today a happy day. A wonderful day that becomes happy by smiling.” She also caught attention by directly communicating with her fans.
In particular, when a netizen expressed support by saying, “Everyone experiences physical and emotional love. It seems to have become public because you are a celebrity. Thank you for enduring it,” she replied, “Sometimes pretending not to know can also be another form of support.” She showed enthusiasm by responding to various comments from netizens.
Han Seong-joo entered the Department of Political Science and Diplomacy at Korea University and was active in the cheerleading team 'Roar 93'. She later obtained a Ph.D. in Health Science and Horticultural Therapy from Dankook University Graduate School. In 2019, she worked as a researcher in the Department of Neurology at Seoul National University Hospital.
In 2023, she opened a TikTok account but created the ID 'Esther', which went relatively unnoticed. That year, she attended the 'Regular Korea University and Yonsei University Friendly Match' as an alumnus cheerleader, sharing photos from that time along with her daily activities such as golf and cycling on social media. In May, she also revealed a photo taken with former figure skater Kim Yuna.
Meanwhile, it was revealed that Han Seong-joo donated 300 million won to Korea University along with her biological brother, drawing attention. A friend of hers dismissed rumors of her return to broadcasting, stating, “(Han Seong-joo) has no thoughts of returning to broadcasting and will live as a horticultural therapist.”
