Actress Choi Hwa-jung (65) revealed Jeon Ji-hyun's cold tomato noodle recipe.
On the 7th, a video titled ‘Choi Hwa-jung reveals her 7-minute workout method to maintain her figure for 65 years (+ Jeon Ji-hyun's recipe, weekly diet)’ was posted on her YouTube channel ‘Hello, this is Choi Hwa-jung’.
Choi Hwa-jung stated that she usually does stair climbing exercises. She then shared her favorite diet recipes.
In particular, Choi Hwa-jung introduced the cold tomato noodle recipe, saying, “This is a recipe shared by one of the most beautiful women in our country.”
She continued, “I directly asked Jeon Ji-hyun, who lives in the same apartment, in the sauna.”
Cold tomato noodles are a dish made by freezing fresh tomatoes. Small diced tomatoes are mixed with tsuyu, water, white balsamic vinegar, and perilla oil. Then, boiled somen noodles are added and mixed.
Choi Hwa-jung mentioned, “The recipe Ji-hyun gave includes perilla leaves, but since I didn’t have any, I thought basil would be a good substitute,” and she used basil instead of perilla leaves. She also noted, “I think it would taste good as pasta too. The original recipe is for noodles.”
When asked why she freezes tomatoes, Choi Hwa-jung replied, “I heard that freezing tomatoes enhances their flavor and sweetness.”
Choi Hwa-jung is actively communicating with her fans through YouTube. Jeon Ji-hyun is set to appear in the Disney+ series ‘Polaris’.
