Song Ji-a, the daughter of former national football player Song Jong-kook and actress Park Yeon-soo, has become a full member of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA).
On the 6th, Park Yeon-soo posted a long message on her SNS along with a photo of Song Ji-a holding a card that read, ‘Congratulations on becoming a full member, Pro Song Ji-a.’
“She was in middle school when she left her agency to pursue her dream of becoming a golfer and joined a golf academy,” Park Yeon-soo began. “It feels like just yesterday when she registered as a player and played her first tournament at Solago CC, shooting almost under 100, but today, after six years, she has become a full member at Solago CC, which is unbelievable,” she expressed with emotion.
She continued, “We used to worry and cry because we couldn’t participate in major tournaments and never stood out in terms of performance, but I want to show that even if you start late, you can do well if you prepare properly.” She added, “Our Song-a, you’ve worked so hard. Thank you so much to everyone who helped.”
Song Ji-a, the daughter of Song Jong-kook and Park Yeon-soo, gained much love for her appearance on the past MBC entertainment program ‘Dad! Where Are We Going?’. After her parents divorced in 2015, she has been living with Park Yeon-soo.
