Lee Hong-ki has revealed that he is battling suppurative hidradenitis.

On the afternoon of the 15th, Lee Hong-ki appeared on the SBS variety show 'My Ugly Duckling' (hereafter 'My Ugly Duckling') to visit the hospital for the removal of a boil.

During the broadcast, Lee Hong-ki said, "Now that there are many festivals, I came just in case. I had a few flare-ups, and I've been suffering from boils for 20 years... Haven't I had surgery three times? Before that, I had about eight surgeries with another doctor. When you have surgery, they cut everything, so it was a complex for me. I couldn't go to the bathhouse often," expressing his unique concerns.

After already removing a boil the size of his palm and having a drain inserted, Lee Hong-ki said, "All the blood is pooling in my butt, so it hurts... It's hard to lie down and I can't sit either." He continued, "It started when I was in middle school, and back then I would put on ointment and couldn't sit properly during class, so I would sit on the edge of my seat. But during class, the boil burst. My school uniform got all wet, and I had to leave early," sharing his struggles.

It airs on Sundays at 9:05 PM on SBS.
