Legendary boy group H.O.T. member Jang Woo-hyuk felt an attraction from the first meeting with actress Oh Chae-i, who is 16 years younger than him.
On the broadcast of Channel A’s ‘Recent Men’s Life - Groom Class’ (hereafter ‘Groom Class’) on the 30th, Jang Woo-hyuk was shown going on a blind date with Oh Chae-i, arranged by Lee Da-hae.
Previously, Jang Woo-hyuk had received a tarot reading predicting a meeting in July and a wedding in November, and he headed to the blind date location in a limited edition vintage car from Japan. When his date, Oh Chae-i, appeared, he couldn't hide his bright smile.
Oh Chae-i is a 7-year actress and a former member of the girl group FreaBac, and she has been a friend of Lee Da-hae for 11 years. Jang Woo-hyuk expressed his strong interest, explaining the process that led to the blind date due to the tarot results, saying, “We met destiny-like.”
The two discussed their views on marriage and plans for children.
Jang Woo-hyuk shared, “Since I’ve been active since I was young, I’ve always thought about how I can show a better side to my fans. Because of that, I’ve found living alone very comfortable. However, coming to ‘Groom Class’ has made my feelings about marriage grow. Hee-jun got married, and all my friends are getting married, so seeing that looks really good.”
Afterwards, they headed to Jang Woo-hyuk's favorite restaurant of 10 years. There, he asked, “Do you have any conditions for a husband, not just a boyfriend?” Oh Chae-i replied, “When I think of a spouse, I think of their character. A positive person. I believe that when we become a couple, there will be many adversities and hardships, and it won’t always be happy. I dream of us guiding each other positively during those times. Money can come and go.”
Jang Woo-hyuk playfully responded, “Can’t it be that it can be gone?” and teased her, leading to Oh Chae-i eventually saying, “Oppa, you should stop drinking now,” showing her concern.
