Actor Lee Jae-in's photo shoot has been revealed.
The magazine 'Cosmopolitan' has released the photo shoot from the August issue featuring Lee Jae-in. Lee has recently garnered much love for her role in the drama 'Unknown Seoul,' which has concluded, and she shone in the comic action film 'High Five,' which tells the story of five individuals who gain different superpowers through organ transplants and confront those who covet their abilities.
This photo shoot was conducted with the concept of capturing Lee Jae-in's inherent lovely and vibrant charm. From outfits reminiscent of a 'cowgirl' to a dress look that embodies youthful charm, she showcased a variety of styles, creating a perfect visual photo shoot.
After the photo shoot, an interview was conducted. Lee Jae-in said, "I'm quite familiar with video, so photo work always feels new and unfamiliar, but I think I captured various looks while moving around. It was so much fun."
In the final episode, which recorded a peak viewership rating of 8.4% (based on Nielsen Korea nationwide), Lee Jae-in played a character who navigates between the unknown and the future in 'Unknown Seoul.' She received praise for her delicate portrayal of tone, speech, and gaze.
Lee Jae-in stated, "In the drama, when the character Mi-ji is holed up in her room, her grandmother says, 'Like the name Mi-ji, there are still things we don't know. So let's live today.' That message resonated with me deeply. Worrying about the future and regretting the past keeps you from sleeping, and then your condition the next day isn't good. It's really meaningless, and it struck me that living well today is the happiest thing."
She continued, "I really liked that the character's name is Mi-ji, which means 'unknown' and 'future.' Mi-ji is left in 'Unknown Seoul,' where there is no 'future.' I find it wonderful that the name encapsulates the character's story," expressing her fondness for 'Unknown Seoul.'
From 'Svaha' to 'High Five,' Lee Jae-in has shown intense performances in every work. When asked about the work that left the deepest impression, she replied, "I have many characters that I love and cherish, but the one I feel most attached to is 'Wanseo' from 'High Five.'
Lee Jae-in said, "Playing a superhero with superpowers was very exciting and enjoyable, but beyond that, Wanseo is the character that is most similar to me. I can say that I expressed her so naturally that it felt like I hardly acted at all. Working with director Kang Hyung-cheol this time, I realized that I could show my true self and charm while acting. In the past, I thought I had to act according to the character, but after meeting this project, I learned that I could have fun acting with the materials I have."
Having debuted at the age of 7 with 'Bbo Bbo Bbo,' Lee Jae-in is now in her 20s. What is she currently focused on?
Lee Jae-in shared, "Right now, I feel that I am not just made up of myself, but also of the people around me. My mom, dad, friends, and everyone I encounter while working. I think it's important to learn, communicate, and grow well among them."
She added, "I realized that it's precious to be someone who can empathize with others and also be someone who can be empathized with. In the past, I could listen to anyone's story, but I found it hard to share my own. However, at some point, I changed. I gained the belief that no one would hate me for sharing my story."
The photo shoot and interview with Lee Jae-in can be found in the August issue of 'Cosmopolitan' and on their official social media.
