Actress Yang Mira has clarified the misunderstanding regarding the violation of baggage regulations.
On the 24th, Yang posted on her Instagram, "I was very surprised to see sensational articles that were not true, but I thought it would be okay if I just stayed quiet and tried to let it go."
However, she felt that if she remained silent, it would seem like she knowingly put a battery in her carry-on and proudly boasted about it, saying, "Since it was a trip with my child, I had a lot of luggage, and in the chaos of packing three weeks' worth of belongings right up until departure, I didn't realize the power bank had ended up in my checked bag."
Fortunately, she was able to take it out at the airport before boarding, and there were no issues.
Yang expressed, "The way it was reported made it seem like I intentionally violated the regulations and proudly certified it, which is not true and honestly quite shocking."
She added, "I didn't realize the thin power bank had slipped between my clothes, and I want to emphasize that I didn't put it in there intentionally without knowing the regulations."
In conclusion, Yang stated, "I acknowledge that it was my mistake for not checking my luggage one more time, and I will be more careful in the future."
Previously, on the 22nd, Yang shared her recent situation as she was departing for Canada with her two children, saying, "I can't believe how much I ran around the airport yesterday. I was carrying a power bank in my suitcase, went to find the Pororo kids' zone only to find it under construction, and was rushing to get my duty-free items before the boarding deadline."
Afterward, misunderstandings arose regarding Yang mistakenly putting a power bank in her carry-on, as regulations on bringing power banks onto aircraft have been tightened since March.
