Broadcaster An Sun-young candidly revealed her home shopping appearance fee.
Recently, An Sun-young announced on her YouTube channel 'This is An Sun-young' that she is planning to move to Canada.
Her son has shown talent in ice hockey, and they are relocating to support him locally. An Sun-young explained, “This is the peak of my live broadcasting career. I decided to boldly let it go for my son's dream,” referring to her decision to step away from her broadcasting career that has lasted for 26 years. She added, “I will conduct my business online and come to Seoul every month to check on my mother's hospital.”
An Sun-young also shared, “My son plays hockey, and William, Sam Hammington's son, is on the same team. After watching them on YouTube, he asked, ‘Mom, why aren’t you on it?’ I received a YouTube proposal while I was contemplating, and that’s how I started.”
She continued, “I earned money by doing broadcasts and home shopping 20 to 30 times a month. Now, I have built a small broadcasting station. I came to Seoul with my mother's savings of 2 million won and became a property owner, so I think I have succeeded in my own way.”
When asked about her TV home shopping appearance fee, An Sun-young paused for a moment and said, “Since I am not appearing now, I will reveal it. The appearance fee varies by the celebrity's grade. I was on the higher end. This amount includes my 20 years of broadcasting experience,” revealing, “15 million won for 60 minutes,” which drew surprise.
Meanwhile, An Sun-young is known as a first-generation celebrity show host and has recorded cumulative home shopping sales of 1 trillion won.
