YouTuber Bbakga, who is being sued for defamation by BJ Gwa Juice Seyun, did not appear at the first trial, and his legal representative has stated his position.
On the 22nd, the first hearing for the damages claim lawsuit filed by Gwa Juice Seyun against Bbakga was held at the Seoul Central District Court.
On this day, Bbakga did not show up in court, and only the legal representatives of both sides attended to confirm their respective positions.
Attorney Jo Il-nam from the law firm Hyun-Dap, representing Bbakga, stated, "The video in question was merely a format that added personal opinions based on existing news and netizen reactions, and it was not a video intended to state facts," and expressed the intention to seek legal judgment regarding the insulting expressions.

In September, Gwa Juice Seyun filed a damages claim lawsuit against Bbakga for defamation, seeking 30 million won.
Bbakga is known to have implied that Gwa Juice Seyun had sexual relations for monetary compensation and gambled in Las Vegas. The video in question has since been deleted.
Bbakga, who had 1.1 million subscribers, has been creating YouTube content while covering his face with black sunglasses. However, Gwa Juice Seyun's legal representative, Attorney Jung Kyung-seok from the law firm Liu, secured Bbakga's identity using the U.S. discovery system, allowing the lawsuit to proceed.
Bbakga sent a warning email requesting to stop the disclosure of information related to the lawsuit and requested a halt to the trial proceedings, but the court dismissed this request. Additionally, on the 3rd of last month, he submitted a request for a video trial due to concerns about identity exposure, but the court denied it.
On the 17th, he submitted a power of attorney for Attorney Jo and a request for a change of hearing date, but the request for a change of date was not accepted, and the trial proceeded as scheduled.
The next hearing date is set for September 23.
