Former announcer Park Eun-young has personally revealed her pregnancy with her second child.
On the 11th, a video titled "I'm 44 years old... I'm having a second child. The behind-the-scenes of IVF that even my acquaintances didn't know" was posted on her YouTube channel 'Anamorna Park Eun-young'.
In the video, Park Eun-young met with junior announcer Jung Da-eun and shared, "As of the filming, I am currently 11 weeks pregnant," adding, "I couldn't tell anyone until now because of my advanced maternal age. I am pregnant with my second child at 44 years old," conveying her joyful news.
She mentioned, "In the past, I would have been considered too old to have a late child. I'm almost at the menopause stage," and shared her struggles with morning sickness, saying, "With my first child, I had a short and intense two weeks of morning sickness, but this time, perhaps because I'm older, I feel really unwell and dizzy, as if I'm bloated."
Regarding the reason for planning a second child, Park Eun-young said, "My mother had four children, and my sister has three kids, while my younger sibling has two. I had a dream of having three children, but due to a late marriage, I could only have one."
Although her husband was initially opposed, Park Eun-young insisted that they should have a second child. When she told her husband that next year would be "the last chance to have a second child," he replied, "Then let's give it a try." Park Eun-young said, "As soon as those words were spoken, I decided to go for IVF," noting that she had considered IVF from the beginning due to her age.
In the first month of IVF, she received ovulation shots but had zero eggs retrieved. However, she successfully collected embryos over five months for a January delivery.
Park Eun-young expressed her surprise, saying, "I wanted to drink alcohol on a trip to Thailand, but before eating, I took a pregnancy test, and it showed a faint line."
Meanwhile, Park Eun-young married a businessman three years her junior in 2019 and welcomed a son in 2021. She is currently engaging with the public through her social media and YouTube channel.
