Actress Song Ha-yoon's side has refuted the statements made by A, the person spreading allegations of school violence.
On the 4th, Song Ha-yoon's legal representative, the law firm Ji-eum, stated, "Mr. O claims that he is not under a wanted notice, but our law firm has clearly confirmed the notification and expressed our position," adding, "As a result of our inquiry with the investigative agency regarding Mr. O's rebuttal, the investigating officer stated that he does not understand Mr. O's rebuttal."
In particular, the law firm reported that the investigating officer contacted A again on the 3rd and conveyed that "it is correct that a wanted notice has been issued, and upon entry into the country, the police must be notified and he is obligated to appear. If he enters the country and does not respond to the investigation, an arrest warrant may be issued."
They emphasized, "Song Ha-yoon has never assaulted A, and we have submitted numerous objective evidence, such as school records, to the investigative agency to clarify that there was no forced transfer."
Additionally, they stated that A is denying objectively clear facts and is continuously spreading false information by taking advantage of the fact that he is staying in the United States to evade investigation, saying, "We plan to proceed with immediate additional criminal complaints for violations of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation) and obstruction of business by fraud regarding the related SNS statements and media interview contents."
A reported in April last year through JTBC's 'Incident Manager' that he was subjected to school violence by Song Ha-yoon 20 years ago. At that time, Song Ha-yoon stated through her agency that all of the claims were not true.
Song Ha-yoon's side stated that they filed a criminal complaint against A more than a year after the allegations were raised, but A responded that "the two schools Song Ha-yoon attended belong to the same school district, making it impossible to transfer simply due to a change in school district," and he is considering countermeasures.

Below is the full statement from Song Ha-yoon's legal representative, the law firm Ji-eum.
Hello. This is the law firm Ji-eum, the legal representative of actress Song Ha-yoon.
Our law firm has recently represented Song Ha-yoon and provided an update on the legal actions taken regarding the school violence controversy.
In this regard, the original disseminator, Mr. O, is currently staying in the United States and has again spread false information through SNS and media interviews on July 2, 2025, to which we respond.
Mr. O claims that he is not under a wanted notice, but our law firm has clearly confirmed the notification. As a result of our inquiry with the investigative agency regarding Mr. O's rebuttal, the investigating officer stated that he does not understand Mr. O's rebuttal and contacted Mr. O again on July 3, 2025, to convey that "it is correct that a wanted notice has been issued, and upon entry into the country, the police must be notified and he is obligated to appear. If he enters the country and does not respond to the investigation, an arrest warrant may be issued."
Furthermore, the investigative agency has repeatedly notified Mr. O in writing that he cannot be investigated without coming to Korea and that he may be wanted if he does not comply, but Mr. O has repeatedly stated that he will not come to Korea. Consequently, it was determined that he had no intention of cooperating with the investigation, leading to the issuance of a "wanted notice" and his registration on the police's wanted list.
Actress Song Ha-yoon has never assaulted Mr. O and has submitted numerous objective evidence, such as school records, to the investigative agency to clarify that there was no forced transfer.
Mr. O claims that he is not obligated to appear before domestic investigative agencies because he is a U.S. citizen, but regardless of U.S. citizenship, if he holds Korean nationality, he is obligated to respond to investigations by our investigative agencies.
We express deep regret over Mr. O's actions, which deny objectively clear facts and continuously spread false information by taking advantage of the fact that he is staying in the United States to evade investigation. We plan to proceed with immediate additional criminal complaints for violations of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation) and obstruction of business by fraud regarding the related SNS statements and media interview contents.
Thank you.
