Ailet member Wonhee has revealed that she was a victim of a scam.
On the 23rd, Wonhee posted on a fan communication platform, saying, "I got scammed," along with a photo.
The photo showed a keyring of the recently popular character 'Labubu', which was clearly a counterfeit at first glance due to its poor quality.
Wonhee expressed her disbelief, saying, "This can't be real, right? It's so ridiculous," adding, "The box looked real though."
Labubu is a character doll from the Chinese toy company Pop Mart. It was designed by Dutch artist Long Ka Sing, who is originally from Hong Kong, and is characterized by its long ears like a rabbit, large eyes, and a big mouth with nine sharp teeth.
Labubu gained worldwide popularity after being seen in the hands of famous celebrities like BLACKPINK's Lisa and pop star Rihanna, as shared on social media.
Meanwhile, Ailet, to which Wonhee belongs, released their mini album 'BOMB' on the 16th. The title track 'Borrowed Cat (Do the Dance)' is gaining popularity, entering Melon's 'Top 100' thanks to its addictive melody like a magical spell.
