Actor Jin Tae-hyun announced that he successfully completed thyroid cancer surgery.
On the 24th, Jin Tae-hyun wrote on his personal channel, "I finished the surgery around 11 AM on June 24, 2025," and added, "Thanks to everyone who worried, the cancer cells in my body are now gone."
He also shared that Professor Kim Beop-woo personally visited the recovery room, held his hand, and encouraged him by saying, "Don't worry anymore."
Reflecting on his life while dealing with cancer for several months, Jin Tae-hyun expressed, "It was a type of cancer that could be cured with surgery, but I am even more grateful thinking about what it would have been like if it hadn't been. I will draw strength through prayer and sharing with cancer patients across the country."
He especially expressed deep gratitude for the support from actor Kim Woo-bin. "Although Woo-bin and I have never interacted, I am thankful for his personal care to overcome the illness. I feel embarrassed that my cancer is one that can be cured with surgery, but I will cherish the shared concern and strive to be a good senior in the entertainment industry," he revealed, creating a warm atmosphere.
Kim Woo-bin was previously diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer and has since recovered.
Jin Tae-hyun stated, "I will not dwell in the past but cherish every moment and move forward with my wife," and added, "It was painful, but as a marathon runner, I will soon return to the track and run."
