Actress Yoon Hye-jin expressed her feelings about her husband Um Tae-woong's return after a long period of self-reflection.
On the 21st, Yoon Hye-jin announced on Instagram that the movie 'I Kill You' will be featured at the 29th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, saying, “I have quietly watched my husband endure the time of reflection, wondering if such a day would really come. Over the years of waiting without answers, I have hoped, imagined, and at times thought it might never come, and more than ten years have passed.”
She continued, “I sincerely thank you for allowing us to experience this miraculous moment,” adding, “Coincidentally, the GV screening date on July 9 is my mother's birthday this year. It may be a coincidence, but I can't shake the feeling that my mother is watching over us.”
She also said, “Everything is thanks to you all,” expressing her gratitude for the silent support she received during this time.
In 2016, Um Tae-woong was embroiled in controversy when a woman in her 30s, referred to as A, accused him of sexual assault at a massage parlor in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.
However, the police investigation revealed that the woman A had colluded with the owner to extort money from Um Tae-woong and had falsely accused him. As a result, Um Tae-woong was found not guilty of sexual assault, while the woman received a 2-year and 6-month prison sentence for false accusation. However, he was fined 1 million won for the charge of prostitution.
