The recent status of comedian Jeon Yoo-sung has been revealed.
On the 17th, broadcaster Jo Hye-ryun posted several photos with Jeon Yoo-sung on her Instagram.
In the photos, Jeon Yoo-sung appears thin but is smiling brightly, conveying a pleasant energy.
The event also captured moments of donating comedians' books to the Namsan Library, where Jo Hye-ryun explained, “Jeon Yoo-sung oppa came up with the idea, and Lee Hong-ryeol oppa pushed and created everything over six months. A total of 106 books we wrote were exhibited.”
She added, “I met Jeon Yoo-sung oppa after a long time, and my heart was overwhelmed. I will pray for your health. May comedians live forever.”

Jeon Yoo-sung revealed in November last year on the YouTube channel ‘Kkondaehee’ that he had been hospitalized due to “acute pneumonia, arrhythmia, and COVID-19.” He also expressed his struggles on the YouTube channel ‘Kim Young-chul Original,’ stating, “I have not been able to recover from the aftereffects of COVID. Everything tastes sour when I eat, making it difficult to eat.”
Born in 1949, Jeon Yoo-sung debuted as a broadcast writer before transitioning to a comedian, leading the golden age of Korean comedy by appearing in popular programs such as ‘Humor No. 1’ and ‘Show Video Jockey.’ He is also the first person to use the term ‘gagman’ in Korea.
In the 2000s, he established a comedy troupe called ‘Comedy Market’ to nurture younger comedians.
