The verdict for the damages lawsuit against A, the operator of the YouTube channel ‘Anti-Fandom Shelter’ that spread false information about IVE member Jang Wonyoung, will be announced today.
On the 4th, the Seoul Central District Court will hold the verdict date for the damages lawsuit filed by Jang Wonyoung's agency, Starship Entertainment, against A for 100 million won. The verdict, originally scheduled for April, has been postponed to today.
Jang Wonyoung and Starship Entertainment have been pursuing civil and criminal lawsuits against A. A is accused of defamation for posting malicious slander videos about multiple celebrities, including Jang Wonyoung, on the YouTube channel ‘Anti-Fandom Shelter’ from October 2021 to June last year.
Separately from the agency, in the damages lawsuit filed by Jang Wonyoung against A for 100 million won, the appellate court ruled in January that “A must compensate Jang Wonyoung 50 million won.”
