Model-turned-broadcaster Lee Hyun-yi (41) confessed that she received ear filler treatment for facial fortune-telling reasons.
Recently, Lee Hyun-yi appeared on the YouTube channel 'TT Studio' alongside broadcaster Kim Ji-min to share her story.
On that day, Kim Ji-min asked a fortune teller, "Is it possible to correct one's fortune?" to which Lee Hyun-yi replied, "I think it is possible," sharing her own experience. She said, "While walking, an elderly person told me, 'Money will leak out.' When I asked why, they said it was because my ears were 'sharp.' After hearing that, I filled my earlobes. Doesn't that change my fortune?"
In response, the fortune teller said, "Just because you had that treatment doesn't mean your fundamental nature changes," adding, "However, like Lee Hyun-yi, if it makes you feel more at ease and allows you to have positive thoughts about it, that can be beneficial."
When Lee Hyun-yi repeatedly mentioned that she felt she benefited from the earlobe treatment, the fortune teller remarked, "If you can think positively about it, that seems to be a valid approach."
In January, Lee Hyun-yi also shared her story of getting fillers in her ears through her YouTube channel, showing her unique belief in the treatment.
The ear filler treatment mentioned by Lee Hyun-yi is known to be a simple procedure that takes about 10 to 20 minutes, with minimal pain and recovery burden. It is a site where re-treatment is possible, but it requires precise treatment due to the limited soft tissue and the presence of cartilage.
In particular, if the procedure goes wrong, it can lead to infections or allergic reactions. If too much filler is injected, it can cause the ear to become uneven or swollen, resulting in side effects that make it look like 'jelly ears.'
Meanwhile, regarding her relationship with her husband, Lee Hyun-yi stated, "When we spend a lot of time together, we fight a lot, but when I'm busy, our relationship is good." Upon hearing this, the fortune teller commented, "You have a stronger attachment to your children than others, and when you have children, your husband tends to be somewhat neglected. To reduce that energy, you need to work a lot and come home a bit exhausted."
Surprised, Lee Hyun-yi nodded and said, "That's right. That's why I come home completely exhausted. When I get home, I just stay still."
