Hani, an actress and former member of the girl group EXID, revealed that she is calming her mind through yoga practice after postponing her marriage to her partner, doctor Yang Jae-woong.
On the 22nd, Hani shared a photo of herself practicing yoga on her SNS, along with the caption, "'Do only as much as you can.' That phrase was so comforting that I started to like yoga."
She expressed her feelings cautiously, saying, "I have always found it difficult to 'do only as much as I can.' Yoga is a time for me to practice 'doing only as much as I can' and a process of learning how to be kind to myself."
At the end of her post, she added, "I breathed today, I flowed, and that was enough."
Previously, Hani had been in a public relationship with psychiatrist Yang Jae-woong since 2022. The couple was scheduled to hold their wedding in September last year, but postponed it due to a controversy arising from the death of a patient at the hospital where Yang Jae-woong is the director.
The family of the deceased filed a criminal complaint, alleging that the hospital failed to provide appropriate emergency care to a patient who complained of abdominal pain, and Yang Jae-woong was sued along with hospital officials for negligent homicide.
In October last year, the police requested an evaluation from the Korean Medical Association regarding medical malpractice and the cause of death, but the investigation was halted in January this year due to a delayed response from the association. The family then filed an objection in February, leading to the resumption of the police investigation.
On April 14, the police conducted a search of the hospital as part of the investigation, securing electronic records, CCTV footage, and the mobile phones of those involved, including Yang Jae-woong. Specific charges are expected to be confirmed after the investigation based on the seized materials is completed.
Due to this incident, Hani voluntarily withdrew from programs she was scheduled to appear on, such as JTBC4's 'Review Cut,' and has been refraining from official activities, quietly updating her status only through YouTube and SNS. She is set to hold a fan concert in Vietnam on the 31st.
