Actor Jin Tae-hyun, who was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, shared his feelings after completing his surgery preparations.
On the 20th, Jin Tae-hyun revealed on Instagram, "I hope you are doing well. I have finally completed my surgery preparations for next month and have started my marathon training for the second half of the year."
He continued, "This year has brought significant variables, and I am not sure if I can achieve it. Many are worried and telling me not to overdo it, but I know how to rest and manage myself better than anyone else. So, you don’t need to worry."
Jin Tae-hyun also shared, "I have been thinking a lot about my health issues and the worries and dilemmas that come with them, asking myself, 'What should I do?' I also pondered, 'Why do people strive to create a good image?' I don’t like image-making. Whether I fail or succeed, whether I am in pain or healthy, I just want to live honestly and openly in the flow of life."
He added, "Questions like 'Why announce it early?' and 'Why wait until later to inform?' have constantly confronted me since entering society. In my foolish twenties, I thought it was right to go that way. Indeed, everything is tied to image and reputation."
Jin Tae-hyun stated, "After marrying my wife, I have been organizing everything neatly and cleanly. I decided to love honestly as it is and live life as it is. This way, whether I fail or succeed, I believe I can maintain my original self without wavering from where I stand."
He continued, "The owner of my life is in heaven, and I will live my grateful life diligently and wholeheartedly, and this journey of life will always be directed towards my wife. I hope you all can live your lives a little more simply and honestly, which will help reduce unnecessary worries."
Additionally, he mentioned, "By acknowledging my wounds, I have become lighter. I have never thought of my wounds as painful. I just see them as good guests or uncomfortable guests that we encounter in life. We just need to accommodate them well and let them go."
